We are currently run the CAFE method of Reading (Comprehension, Accuracy, Fluency and Expand Vocabulary). Students also have access to a large range of levelled readers, books, a large library and the mobile MARC Van. Students also access Reading Eggs online.

We use VCOP (Vocabulary, Connectives, Openers and Punctuation) as the framework for our writing program. Our students complete regular Big Writes and Cold Writes, as well as studying a variety of writing genres.

Maths:We utilise a large range of practical, hands-on activities for fun and interesting Maths lessons. Students also have access to Mathletics and Essential Assessments.

Science & Humanities:Students study a wide range of subjects including STEM, History, Geography, Economics and Civics & Citizenship.

Visual Arts:Each week, Art classes provide the students to explore their creativity and imagination. Student art work is displayed around the school and we have a bi-annual Art Show.

Physical Education:The students have PE and sport lessons every week. These have a focus on skills development, motor skills, teamwork and sportsmanship. We are also regularly involved with Sporting Schools, and recent programs have involved T-ball, Rugby, Badminton and Volleyball.

Well-Being:Our school values are Persistence, Respect, Initiative, Determination and Excellence (PRIDE). Along with the Respectful Relationships program, these form the foundation of our well-being program. We have PRIDE awards at assembly and refer to these values daily.

Performing Arts:Our students have M.A.D. lessons each week (Music And Drama), which involve singing, dancing, acting, movement, playing instruments and performing.

Camps & Excursions:Our year 3-6 students attend camp each year. The camp is either an urban camp, a beach camp or a bush camp. Our F-2 students have a school sleepover each year. All students from each grade level attend several excursions and incursions throughout the year, such as Fishcare, Anzac Day ceremonies, and much more.

Junior School Council:Each grade level from years 1-6 has a class representative on the Junior School Council. Regular JSC meetings are conducted. Students provide suggestions on how to improve the school, and raise money for the items needed. The JSC also does fundraising for worthwhile charities, such as the Cancer Council, Canteen and more.

Special Days:Every Friday is 'Bike & Scooter' day. We also have Club activities each week, including gardening, sport and art clubs and Market Mondays. We also have special events such as discos, buddy activities and fishing.

Garden & Cooking:The students tend to our garden regularly. They grow vegetables, herbs and fruit. Some of these are used in our cooking classes, and some are sold to the school community.
